This is the end of day 1 of pulling up the carpet and inspecting for leaks. Got stuck a few times with a few stubborn torx heads. Mother nature had her way and prevented me from moving further for today. I've noticed a couple of slight leaks coming from the T-Top seals. Ugh... They are a little pricey to buy from what I've heard. I disconnected the rear hatch so I will re-connect if weather returns to somewhat normalcy tommorow and get better pictures of the half-A$$ job one of the previous owners did when attempting the trap door method. I pulled up the rear carpet and saw the hole and chuckled a little. I will hopefully clean everything up and remove the old insulation that seemed to attract every speck of dirt to its surface then either insert some deadener or spray with some sort of liner. P.S. A tip for those who might do this in the future, wait for a stretch of nice days before attempting. Can't count on the weather.

DAY 2:
I had time today to remove the seats and take out the carpet, clean up what I could for now, and began vacuuming out everything. I have also found some spots that have rusted through. They explain why the carpet above those spots are always damp. Those select holes are the ones with the "Thermotech" insulation on them. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the holes before I put the stuff over it, the Thermotech insulation is very sticky and if I tore it up again it would be a waste and I would have to clean up again. Unfortunately I'm stuck at this stage in my installation because I need to fill the holes and weld in some new metal in some places. Therefore, I had to put the seats and hook everything back up because I still have to use this car to go back and forth to high school. That is why I covered up the holes, so no water will get inside while I'm going back and forth. If anyone would like some select pics of places that they couldn't get unless they took out their carpet, just let me know. I would be happy to take them.
Day 3:
Here are some pics of the holes I have recently found. These are actually the pics of the holes before I sanded and prepped them for patching. I will post pics later of my mediocre patch work later. I also have to do some work on my T-top seals. Front seat keeps getting wet every time it rains.
Day 4: I had filled all of the holes except one by the rear passenger wheel well. It will be the most difficult to mold something to fit it properly. All I need to do Is fill the last hole and then I can spray it with some sort of preserver. Then some sound deadener. Then all the carpet and panels can be put back in!!!
