  • Nose Cracked and rear fender

Im new to this site so im sorry if I posted in the wrong area or whatnot.

But here it goes. I have a 94 firebird, its my first car and I plan on messing with it for a while. Its original paint, but the nose is starting to chip and crack and since its plastic I dont really know what I have to do as to go about fixing it and preping for paint. Do I sand it and let it be? Or is there some way i can just fill it?

Hey man welcome to the site, we love pic's so post some up of your ride. Mark your calendar for 6/04/2011 that our meet and greet show. Its free just register and come meet everyone face to face.

In answer to your question about the bumper, its tough to sand and fill cracks and chips because its plastic and flexes as you sand it. It can be done though, I had a huge spider web on the point and at certain angles in the sun you can see it. Good luck.

They make a polyurethane filler for that, I think it's kinda hard to work with and expensive though.

        Used to own a Firebird.

It can be fixed with no problems. I sand on bumpers all day. Yes they make a filler and it is expensive, but much cheaper then a new bumper. Post some pics and I might be able to steer you in the right direction.
