Got the car all the way up in the air today(so my fat ass could fit under it).. Worked from 4:30 am to 11 today, so not very motivated.. Did a little bit of cleaning is all.. Just a rough cleaning, found a few loose nuts that I need to snug up.. Only did from the tranny mount back to the rear end.. Then lost motivation.... Time for nap..

Took some industrial degreaser and mixed with water.. 50/50, worked very well.. My cutouts had put a lot of soot on the underside of my car.. and just general filth from being neglected the last couple years...

Little progress today.. Have my hot wire ran, now to secure it, cut it off near the battery for my 200 amp fuse, assemble.. Then on to the rest of the wiring disaster for my nitrous kit...

LOL, I am actually leaning towards skipping the vette idea indefinitely.. I don't want to be banned...

looks good larry. id wire tie that positive cable in as many spots as possible and where it cuts through the paneling id stick a rubber hose or wire loom around them spots that might rub through. my car could never look this good. that thing is damn clean!

I will have cable fasteners about every 6 inches and I have some good stuff from work to cover that square opening to prevent rub.. I won't take any chances with that cable rubbing on something and shorting out.. Also going to put cable covering over the whole thing too..

                              Suggestion...

I did a battery relocate similar to what you're doing. I also used a fuse at the battery. Um, long story short? I kept blowing the fuse. I was using a 150 amp fuse. I kept popping them light party balloons. This happened back before I realized the stock starter just wasn't up snuff (heat soak). Might I suggest using a circuit breaker instead of a fuse. If the breaker ever trips, its a helluva lot easy resetting a breaker then it is having to buy another fuse. Not to mention, if you found yourself stranded out in the middle of Bum F uck Egypt.

                              Jus sayin.
