Well I painted my rear sidemarkers last night and after the last coat of vht i waited a little over an hour to apply the clear. After the second or third coat I noticed it on some spots it was turning white. So now I have little areas of white and I was just wondering what do you guys think would take it out? I've done them once before and the same thing happened and I wetsanded them but I could never get them to shine good even with rubbing compound and plastic polish. Should I try wetsanding them again and maybe trying to put on another coat of clear to see if it shines it up? It's really getting annoying...

Is the white like a hue? Usually that's blushing, which is caused from too much humidity.- Brian Meissen

Maybe the clear is just crap. Like a bad can, or just the brand is bad.

It's just like a little blemish of white. Barely noticeable and you can really only if you hold it at an angle. They were looking perfect until about the 3rd coat of clear. I did my front signals a couple months ago with the same clear and they turned out fine. I did those during the day though if that makes any difference. I did the rears at night. I might just try to wet sand them again and polish the hell out of em to see if I can get em to look good.

From your last statement, its sounds exactly like what meissen said, are you painting indoors, or outdoor? And yeah doing them at night when it's usually cooler will give you better results for sure. Wet sanding sould do the trick, start big and then get smaller with your grit.Originally posted by meissenIs the white like a hue? Usually that's blushing, which is caused from too much humidity.
