The flat part around the edge? Wouldn't look good in my opinion is it was a difference color as the wheels have no dish in the lip. If you have some dish you can pull off the polished "lip" in my opinion. With the spokes flush, a pinstripe is all you could pull off I think personally.

When people say lip, I associate with having some dish, which in my opinion is needed in order to pull off polished.

                  • Interesting definition of lip you guys have I have never thought of a lip and dish as the same thing, rather completely independent of one another. to me a lip describes the outer edge of what actually is the rim, and is never any broader than a 1/2" regardless of how much dish is behind it.

That looks completely different as the spokes do not integrate and flow with the "lip" rather there is a separate lip. If you polish that ring around the 10 spokes it will make the spokes appears really short.

                        • like picture posted that is what is the lip the rest is the dish. I guess we all have different definitions! LOL
Black rims always need at least a polished lip in my opinion.
