Will a 4th gen Camaro passenger window fit on a 98 Firebird?

My window is really scratched up and I've been looking for a new one so I can tint my windows again. (damn cops...) I was just wondering if they're the same window. I think I found one at a junkyard but I wanna be sure it fits. Also, does anyone know of any good junkyards in southeast michigan. I can't seem to find any good ones.

I believe they are the same, the window on my car came from a Firebird I know.

There is one on 8 mile called 'Parts Galore' in Detroit. Pretty sure this is the address and stuff. If not just search 'parts galore detroit' and you'll get tons of info.

are they deep scratches, or minor surface scratches, if there minor then you can use some really fine steel wool to get them out

Nope. The passenger windows in the two cars are different, but the driver's windows are the same. lol I couldn't resist, I'm a smartass. . . lmao Yeah, they're the same.

Oh, and steel wool does work, you just have to use the really fine stuff. You can get it at Meijers or WalMart in the hardware section.

well my dad and I tried that glass polishing kit from eastwood but that didn't work out too well. Now the glass is all distorted and I can still see all the scratches. I think I'd be better off just getting a new window. Man i REALLY want tinted windows again haha.

I asked my dad if the 'bird and 'maro windows for the doors are interchangeable, he said they are. You'll be ridin' dirty in no time flat! lol

i would still try the steel wool, it worked to get scratches from a stanley knife out of a truck window.

one more question...will it matter if the window from the maro is manual? Because I plan on using it as an automatic.

Actually for some reason, it seemed like when I bought my window there were some minor differences between an auto and manual window.. but that was a 3rd gen.
