That one. Anybody know where he got his paint job done? And what the approximate cost of it was?

Him and his buddy painted it, not sure of cost.

Oh, shit. I hope I meet someone in college that's good at custom paint.

Instead of getting a Cobalt SS SC in the spring like I was planning (it might be too difficult because of college and everything), there's a good chance my car will be complete spruced up: hood, spoiler, body kit, paint job, stripes, rims, etc. Hopefully this'll all be done by summer/fall '07.

Uggh I hate 20" rims. They might as well just drive right on the rims. You gotta have some rubber. Paint is kinda cool though.

All that stuff will probably cost as much as a Cobalt!

He did it himself. He is also the guy that did the paint on my car. he did an extremely satisfactory job on it, and said to refer people so i will PM you his number if you want to give him a call. he's a stand up guy and he stands behind his work too. the red paint you see in the end of the flames on his car is the same color he did my hood scoop with... kandy apple red.

              Here's a write-up of my exterior plans...

So the total comes to (at maximum)... about $2900 plus shipping on some, paint, paint job, and tires. However, the rims and t-tops can always wait (momentarily knocking off the cost of tires and $1300-1350), along with a few of the other things.

Oh, and for a paint job, I'm thinking this... I already have silver/metallic blue calipers, right? Okay. So I'm going to get the entire car painted a metallic silver. Then, I'll have a center stripe (going up the cowl, starting at the base of it) fade from metallic blue to silver with a solid metallic blue line around the entire cowl (get what I'm saying?). Then the stripe will also be on the rear deck and spoiler in the same fashion, but fading silver toward the back windshield.

And one last thing/edit lol.. If I'm not able to find aftermarket fenders (read: ones with a scoop like C5 Corvettes), I'm contemplating getting a hockey stripe down the side in the same fashion.. surrounded by a blue line fading from blue (in the front) to silver (in the back)...

I'd like to Photoshop this whole thing.. Maybe I'll take some time to soon.

I talked to him about it. He did it himself w/ the help of a friend who had a bit of artistic ability to help with the flames. It is kandy kolors. If you want to get ahold of him search sson20s on camaroz28 and his name is chevyboy or something. You can pm him.

The paint on the car is House of Kolor Kandys. The base coat is Orion Silver with a little bit of Ice Pearl mixed in . The front of the car is Kandy Tangerine and then fades to Kandy Apple Red. Thes is also a hint of Kandy Purple in the tips of the flames. The flames are buried under 10 coats of clear and wet sanded with 6 different grits of paper then buffed to a mirror image.

that was posted on the cardomain page.
