  • Made My Own Custom Exhaust Tips -I Merged Oval Design

I'm brand new to the MI F-Body forum but I've been active on other f-body forums for years.

I just finished my latest project of fabbing up my own custom exhaust tips and thought I would share. I really liked the merged tips I saw on some of the TechArt Porsche 997's, but didn't really feel like paying the cost of a car for exhaust tips so I figured I'd make my own. What do you all think?

The tips in the pics above were sticking out a little too far back for my liking after looking at them for a while so I pushed them in a little more and it looks a lot better now.

I started with some stainless steel ovals and did all the work from there.

Let me know what you all think of my latest project! I'd love to hear the feedback, good or bad.

Wow, those look really cool. I like them on Porsches, much like you did. Very unique, and looks good to boot.

Thanks guys! Glad you all liked them. It was nice seeing all the different ideas that people had for their cars.

I actually just fished cutting the tailpipes a bit the move the new tips a little further under the rear. Looks A LOT cleaner now. I will need to get some new pics to post soon. It really looks a lot better, much more like what I had envisioned originally.

After looking at them for a while, I decided that the tips stuck out WAY too far past the bumper so I adjusted them after the M&G. I pushed them about 1-1.25" further back and think that they look A LOT better now. They look a lot cleaner on the car and look perfect from all angles. Here are updated pics (I tried to just replace the original pics but it "attached" the pics I wanted to delete and won't let me add more).
