  • REpainting my engine bay, need a quick opinion.

As most of you know, I painted my engine bay last year when I did the 5.3 swap, well duplicolor labeled all the cans wrong, and it came out cream colored, fantastic.

Redoing it this weekend and have a simple question, should I go ALL white or black & white like factory.

Im referring to the pieces and parts in front of the core support.

Here is an alll white bay.

And heres a "factory look" bay.

Your not dropping the motor again are ya? I like the all white engine bay but the factory looks nice as hell too, I am torn but I vote all white.

I think the all white one looks kinda weird...maybe cause I'm so used to a factory setup...

All white looks cleaner and flows together (mines all red ,pics in 4th gen threads) just don't like metal radiator cover in all white pic.Do what feels good to you, painted last year?If you don't like, paint again next year.Good luck and nice ride!

Interesting results, not what I at all expected, I shall ponder it some more. mmmmm, s'mores, lol.

No, not dropping it for paint. Couldnt if I wanted to, theres another members car in the garage in 50 billion pieces right now, FINALLY got the motor atleast under the car tonight, not at all back together, but atleast im not tripping over engines, transmissions, etc everwhere.... Im done with pulling motors and heavy work for atleast a year, weve been at it all day everyday and it is literally killing me...
