  • Need advice on wheel tire package!!!

My tires are finally shot!!! time for some new rims and tires!!!!!!! I've been debating over 17-9.5 American Racing Torque Thrust 2 rims. Or 18-9.5 replica chrome ZO6 rims with rivets.

    - If I get the TT2 rims I think I am going wrap them up in Nitto rubber. I forget what they are called but they are the 555? not the drag slicks.

    - If I go with the vette wheels I want something that is less than $180 per tire if possible. 275-35-18

Anyone know of a tire place near GR that has decent priced performance tires? What about a place that can order me TT2 wheels so I don't have to order them?

If anyone else has some better combinations or what they think will look best let me know. THANKS

This is what the zo6 rims look like if interested.

I say TTIIs and wrap them in 275 Nitto Drag radials so you can get traction better traction and still DD them.
    Doing less with more

Any Belle Tire will match prices for (almost) anything, even Tire Rack.

I'd find what you want and just go to them.

And I'd go with the ZO6 wheels, C6 preferred...

          Hey Eric,
Whats the stock tire size on your car? How much wider can you go?
I want some new ones, but want something a little wider than stock, but nothing eccentric. Just wanted to see if thats what your doing. That guy on Ebay does have the best deals on those rims. I've talked to him on the phone. Cool guy.

IMO I think the rivits look weird. I would get clean Zo6's but I absolutly love TT2's (especailly with some nittos) should be sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. I vote for TT2's.

i have 275-40-17s all the way around my car and have no problems and im even 1.5"s lower then stock. I also have been a discount tire fan for many years and they have great service and free repairs. I also like the Z06 wheels better on your paticular body style, but I also love the TTs. Z06 wheels will make the car stand out more. just my opinion.

I think I am going with the Polished TT2 rims. I really need tires bad so I will probably just order two rims now and two tires and drive like that for 1-2 weeks. The TT2 rims look great and actually look larger than 17's. Where is a good place to get nitto tires? I didn't think bell tire carried them. How are the drag slicks in the rain? I know that you can order 18-10 inch TT2 rims. Would those look killer in the rear? or would it look weird? Thanks for the input guys. I think the TT rims will keep there shine a bit longer over chrome. I need advice on lug nuts as well.

If you were in my neighborhood with that car, I would be at the chiropractor every other day from my neck sanpping left and right.
