  • Tailight Blackout FAQ

Here is a place to post your questions about tailight blackouts.

I'm considering using tailshades blackout spray a set of 97 WS6 tailights. If I did this would it cancel out the cool grid lines when lit? I mean, When I tap the break will you still be able to see the grid lines of the tailights with a couple of coats of the spray on them? If it does I will not do it.

Here is an example. This is Superman4ever's T/A.

You'll still see the grid-lines when they light up. The taillight will just appear completly black when off.

Yep, what he said. Joel's got a cool effect, he put chevy stickers inside his blackouts. They look black when off, and when on, you see chevy emblems.
