The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. The wife's '04 Bonniville has the silver painted wheels. They are yellowing in the corners and I can't seem to get it off.
I am guessing some of you guys that have had factory painted wheels have had the same problem.
What gets this residue off ???

Ray, I'm guessing you may have already tried this, but rubbing compound?? I've also had good success with Megquiar's Scratch-X, but both include old fashioned elbow grease.
It's brake dust that doesn't get washed off and gets hot driving a good drive and it burns into the wheel. Wash it, try some metal polish on it. If that doesn't work try some really good degreaser or wheel cleaner, and I'm not talking about the stuff at Murray's; stop at a body shop and ask them for a little. Other than that it's either buff away or a re-paint.
WD40 is an excellent and safe degreaser, its always the first thing i try. If that doesnt work, i agree with what Joe said. You can only neglect it for so long before the damage is done.
Thanks guys, I hadn't thought of degreaser. It is residue from brake dust. Didn't notice it last summer.
