  • Anyone know where I could maybe get this?

After seeing Brian's carbon tail panel, I just thought, I wanna get a carbon hood and a carbon spoiler, and paint over the carbon but leave a manta stripe taped off in the carbon and use that as my stripe I wanna get, I only thought of one problem, the rear hatch, I mean, It's possible to get a vinyl to go with it, but fake stuff like that is a big pet peeve with me, anyone know where I could get a carbon rear hatch?

I would assume that would have to be entirely custom, I've never even seen a carbon fiber hatch, even Meissens tail panel was a rare piece that was probably custom fabbed. (hence the lack of any mounting fixtures at all)

Theyre used to be a couple of guys down on Hall st that did custom carbon fiber stuff. They did the carbon fiber hood and trunk lid on my valiant. Ill see if I can find them, theyve been out of it for a couple of years, but still live around here.

That'd be cool, I just need a number I can keep for now, all my money I have right now will be going into the engine, once I get the engine and everything done, the body and everything else is next.

ill look for the number, but I dont know where THEY are anymore. Besides, I dont think a cf hatch would work without a lexan window, and I dont like lexan. I think glass would be to heavy

I have seen a CF hatch on ebay too, but can't seem to find it right now.

Yeah there used to be a company on ebay that made CF hatches.. I'd imagine shipping would be a bear though. I've always wanted to do the same thing but I'd need a carbon fiber bumper, hood, hatch, stock spoiler, and brickyard spoiler to do a true CF stripe.

I thought about doing that, but after seeing your Berger panel, I was thinking I could just have the manta stripe in carbon and have it round out to meet with the ail panel and it would end there, I'll try and gimp up some pics, but I highly doubt they will come out right.

I may have to get the hood custom done too, cause the hood I want is like Brians, but without the rise in the hood just before the vent, my uncle had one on his 95, but then he traded it for a 73 and he don't remember what company made his hood.

A place called SUNCOAST CREATION'S has a wide variety of hoods for the Camaro's. I'm just glad mine is one of a kind

                        On a Camaro maybe.
Bryan had that hood/scoop on his 69 Corvette 427.
