well im looking to now go for a new look for the z. i have a ss hood so should i just get a ss spoiler and go with the ss look? or should i get the "ducktail" spoiler and a 4inch cowl for my car? i really like both looks, the ss is just something you see more often, but would it be rice to put a 4inch cowl on a 12 second car? (hasnt ran yet but estimating)

you tell me (i no mines a lt1 and this is a ls1 but heres the idea)

Eew, no don't do that!!! Lol, I'm a big fan of the LT1 body style tho, thats the reason that I have one. But yea, imo, go with a cowl and the SS spoiler. Thats what I plan on doing eventually.

That ducktail spoiler looks like ass, both hoods are good choices though and either will look good with an SS spoiler.

                ducktail spoiler?

You mean the Freedom Design Spoiler? Similar to the Dick Harrell cars?

Thats what Brian has on RA... And what is on order for Yoshi

Its up to you I guess. I like the 3 piece spoiler but the reason I chose the Freedom spoiler because it will flow with my hood when it comes in.

4" cowl is a little bit big for me. You already have the SS hood so I would stick with the SS look but thats just me Unless you want to spend more money and try and make some profit off of your ss hood.

ya lol thats what i mean, im not looking to turn a profit, my friend wants it and id just sell it to him for what i bought it for.

but the place i want to order my hood says 6-8 weeks freight thats a long time to ship something no? i know its big but 8 weeks? thats 2 months

SS Spoiler for sure, and I like the SS hood as well, but maybe thats just me! But either hood would look great, but you do already have the one and wont have to wait the 8 weeks...

I personally don't like the LT1 body style at all, from the taillights to the SS hood, to the nose.
                        Sorry, man.
I'd go with the LS1 front end conversion, and get an SS spoiler and a sunoco hood with maybe 2" cowl.

Fred, Ugh I hate that name.

Keep the SS hood, don't go with the duckbill spoiler. Get an SS LSx Spoiler and LSx tails.

Don't do an LSx conversion. It's all about keeping the car clean afterall right?

Man... they need to come out with a new spoiler so I can buy something else. I bought my Brickyard spoiler to be different and now it's turning into just as much of a "me too" spoiler as the SS spoiler.

But, if I had to choose between the two, I'd definitely go Brickyard. SS spoilers are boring... if you're going to go with an SS spoiler you might as well stick with the flat spoiler because it's like "Whoopie doo... an SS spoiler..." anymore.

Plus if you're going with a 4" spoiler, you're going to need the Brickyard or something equivalent to balance it out or else you're going to have a weird looking side profile shot.
