got some exhaust tips welded on.

and while i was out driving since i finally got her plated and insured.

i think they both would look good in my garage. i will most likely be getting one next tax year. what do you all think?

wow your car looks great and even better sitting next to that 5th gen! I agree it needs a stable mate in your garage! Going to get a matching red one or what color you like?

my son loves the transformers movie so i might go with what parked next to me. however, i'm getting the SS or bust. i went to the local dealership and one of the dealers got a jewel red ss. looks amazing. paid.....34k they have tons of different appearance packages, stripes and such. i may go with red but i think it be neat to have a yellow car.

I would assume the tips make no difference in the sound, just an appearance mod that looks really good on his car!

actually for a long time i thought that too but they actually do, the guy who did my car and by buddies car( same year camaro same engine same exhaust set up) he went for about a half inch smaller tips on his then i did and mine has that deeper rumble to it. he said it has to do with acoustics and the best way to explain it is to think of a megaphone the engine on both our cars is putting out the same sound waves through your exhaust and on a car with smaller tips you get the sound waves bouncing off it quicker so it will sound high pitched as to if the tip is bigger it bounces the sound wave slower thus getting a lower rumble.

im sure some people will disagree if tips do not make a difference( although i feel a set of chrome tips on a freshly waxed car on a summerday is sexy) but i figured id throw in what my exhaust guy said to me. and if i get bored ill make a video with m buddies camera of my car at idle and reving next to my buddies car with the same engine same exhaust and the only difference is tips.

Thats very interesting! I guess if you think about it, makes sense that the size or diameter may make a difference in the overall sound...

well, after tearing the intake off, found out that i had wiped out two rollers on my lifters. so, now i will tear it apart, inspect/clean and while i am at it, have my heads ported and polished to flow more. plus i will be changing the rockers for more lift. running 1.5 now, might try a 1.65 if i can. i may end up getting a whole new cam also. my roller may be flattened. so i guess i won't be seeing to many of you except passing by on the roads. i leave in september to go back to california (USMC) and don't plan on touching the car till after then. thanks for all the compliments and who knows, maybe i'll come back this way again some time.
