Maybe it's just me but I've never really liked the 98+ SS hood that much. It's like a watered down LT1 SS hood.

PM 2000Durahoe. He put an SS scoop like Justin's on a hood for some guy. I don't know how it looked when he was done though.

I've thought about the different hood thing too, i've looked at like a 3" cowl hood, or even the ultra hood witht he dual ram air ports, i've just always liked the look of the ss hood. I'm still debating because i found an ultra hood for 300, but i'm not a huge fan of it, but i do like the 3" cowl hood that has not rib up the center. Keep the ideas comming.

Brian, I thought about that, i'm definately going with the ss spoiler that's a must on my list, and i do agree everyone has an ss hood, so i'm open to doing something a little less mainstream to score unique points but i want it to flow with the rest of the car as well.

Thanks for all the ideas guys keep em comming

well i bought the hood scoope 2 months ago and and it was 80 bucks so if you think about it if i sold it you wouldnt pay 80 i am asking 50 for it and then supplies to do it and you can have a hood done for like 10 times cheaper then buying a new hood, i did a ws6 hood scoope on my grand prix i molded this hood into the car and it came out great

One reason why Im going with the hood I choose. I love SS hoods and all but they are everywhere. Like mexicans in florida. Cant swing a dead cat without hitting one!

Theres not really many alternatives for LT1 hoods either. I like the "WS6"? Hood but its really a hit or miss. Right wheels,GFX, the works

i dont agree with your first statement, but thats definitely true.

hood all the way. Even if you do get the scoop "right" the first time, its a collage of different materials - which means its going to have different heating and cooling properties resulting in cracks.

Really? You like the 98+ SS hood more than the 93-97 SS hood?

I've got a ss hood sitting in storage, fake hood scoops, might as well get the velcro and stick them on
