scoop or hood

Alright well i'm looking at buying an ss spoiler, and then i'm debating on whether or not to buy an aftermarket ss hood, or just buy the scoop portion and graft it onto my hood.

Things to take into consideration is that i could do all the body work myself. I have been looking for a damaged ss hood, and only found one on craigslist for 600 obo which is alot more than i am willing to pay for a damaged hood.

So I was just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with the cowls that have to be attached to the hood, or if they are accurate in dimensions when compared to an ss hood. Well let me know what you guys think or if anyone knows someone with a damaged hood.

i have a brand new ss hood scoope part that i was going to mold into my camaro then i decieded not to here is a picture of it, pm me with what you think it doesnt have the mesh in it

Get a hood, I don't think any f body should EVER EVER have a scoop put on it. Wait it out and you'll find a good deal.

Well now i have another question, if i do wait for a hood has anyone here had any luck with aftermarket ss hoods, i mean the look good from the pictures but i'm always worried about fitment issues.

if you can do the work your self, i say graft it in. If you can pull it off it will give you personal satisfaction.

Do something different - go with something other than the SS hood. Seems like everyone and their brother goes with the SS spoiler and SS hood...
