  • Formula with TA rear bumpers photo's?

Well as the title says I'm looking for photo's of a Formula with the low profile wing with a TA rear bumper on it how does this look. I have one and I have a Formula so I'm thinking about putting it on. But I don't about it with the low profile wing.

Just look at pics of convertible LS1 TA's. They all have low spoilers and TA bumpers.

Maybe it's just me but I would keep the Firebird rear bumper.
I think it would look strange without the side skirts, then you might as well add a chin spoiler while your at it

The problem everyone thinks about is the fact that additng the t/a rear bumper will look either to high or lower then the side of your formula. I beg the differ from seeing many many pics of this being done. The end result it sits level with the side of the formulas. If you look closely at the t/as rear the bumper actually sits higher then the skirts do. If it the t/a bumper sat lower then side the of my formula i would think of doing this and regreting it. After buying a parts car which happened to have a good bumper and hatch not to mention the same color i probubly wouldnt of thought of doing the swap. Once winter goes to hell and i can bring my car out from storage i am going to do both the t/a hatch and bumper conversion on my formula.

Here's where the idea generated from off this car on LS1tech.com:

                      What my plan is:

The car looks to be very clean and i love maple red birds! Im just not a fan of what this owner did on the hood of his car. To each is there own and everyone has a right to do what they like to there cars and im sure there will be alot of hate from the formula guys when i do the bumper and hatch swap on mine but thats life. Just wanted to give the other people not liking the idea or doubting it to see our side of the story and be a little different then every other formula/trans am on the road.

Matt- I think you could have gotten your point across without stating your dislike for the paint job. I can appreciate your opinion, but really we don't bash other members rides here.....That might be common practice on LS1tech, but we like to consider ourselves a friendlier bunch at MiFbody.

Ben is the owners name, he has put alot into the car and takes great pride in his Pontiac. I hear it looks awesome in person and I can't wait to see it at the M&G. I like what he has done to set his car apart from all the rest. (Kinda the same thing you are trying to do, just in a different approach.)

I like the ideas you are setting out to do on your Formula, make sure you post before and after pics.
