  • Pics: Painted brakes and nostrils.

Here's my SOM T/A, I'm on break so I wanted to do a few things to make it show quality.

1st thing I painted the nostrils, the car came with flat black grills that were faded and touched up with a sharpie or something. I painted em glossy black:
    Before:

    After:

Here is my brakes, I still have to do the front ones but, Joel recommended I try a "Anodized Orange". I took his advice and they came out great. I also painted the fenderwells, rotors, and cleaned it up nice. I think soon I will paint the inner surface of my rims as well. The car looks spectacular. Only problem I had was the dang rotors were frozen onto the axle so i had to bang the hell out of them to get em off.

    And here's an overall pic:

    Those brakes look killer.

Is that an aftermarket Ramair hood? Where's the lower nostrils?

I tried polishing but they immediately rust, i guess you have to polish them and then clear coat em.

Okay okay I worded that wrong Nick. Phenomic has brake calipers and rotors on the rear brakes. I know neither of our 4th gens have that. I know because I just looked. We have brake drums Nick, so this must be an aftermarket mod. Please refrain from the dumbass crap before I make you cry.

You guys have v6s which is why us 6'ers have drums and not rotors.
