  • Interior dye?

Quick question. . . I was browsing my work, and I came across a product made for dying vinyl and cloth interior peices, and it says it will work on seats. . . Has anyone here dyed their stock cloth seats? I wanted to know if I should, because I don't like the grey interior with all of the black stuff I have on the exterior, but I don't want to do it if I'm going to have any problems with the stuff rubbing off on my clothes everytime I drive. . . HELP!

I never tried it on cloth. I used it on the vinyl when I painted my interior once. It worked out aight, but rubbed off... it wouldn't like... leave paint on me, but where the arm would rest on the door panels armrest slowly but surely got more grey.

So it won't surprise me with black marks on the back of my red & black uniform shirts? I might try it, but I'm not sure yet. Has anyone else tried this product yet?

I have a giant case of this dye in my garage that was there when we moved in. It's all sealed new and I've got every color. It looks like industrial quality stuff.

I've never used it. Maybe you could get a junkyard piece and give it a try.

I've done it on my vinyl seats. It's only been on for a week, and it's the back seat so it hasn't been used. I did try it on my seat belt. That did not turn out too great. I don't think it will leave marks on your clothes, but don't hold me to it.
