First things first...clean the beast! Get it on a lift to do the job right. If your time is worth anything it makes more sense to save up and buy the parts polished...jsut getting them smooth takes FOREVER (I know 'cause I started young and am old as dirt now!)

        Thanks...

the edelbrock covers will NOT fit your car, they are for the series I grand national buick engine. There is a company that is mking covers for our car but they are rediculous in price. You could take them off and polish them.

Thats a good idea!!! Its a shame those edelbrocks wont work. What is the name of the other company? Maybe I can find some on ebay from them.

I'll do this 2nd thing on the 7th! That is when my insurance policy kicks in. But before I take her on the road I have to do a coolant flush. My coolant reserve was filled with what appeared to be mud. That is not acceptable. So first thing on the 6th I'm doing the coolant flush, 2nd I'm finishing her up with plates and legal stuff, 3 that baby is gonna get a washing to remember oh yeah!!! My cars first car wash with me!!!

Then once she is on the road I'll start polishing some stuff.
Please if you guys see a good deal on some pretty engine making stuff for the 3.8 let me know!!!

the covers you won't find them on ebay, they just recently came out and like nobody has bought them because of the price. Polishing the stockers takes some work but makes them look great.

the site is now big enough and has enough knowledge that we can now search for things. The covers have already been talked about here.

Wow I never saw that thread. Those valve covers are a little pricey aren't they? I will go see what I can find for an extra set of valve covers to polish.
