OMNI paint is ok.
OMNI clear tends to turn yellowish and/or cloud up and get hasy.

Also depends on how straight you want the car.

But I bet my brother in law can do it for 2500-3k.
All depends on the body work needed, are they painting the jams, ect.

My brother in law owns Discount Glass and Body. He has a Matrix painting system.
Matrix paints are DBU quality.

Mine costs close to 4k for a whole repaint to the original color.

Jake - You're getting ripped off.

I got mine for $3400, but mine's metallic paint with metal flake in the clear coat. He also did some minor body work and installed the lambo doors which was included in the price. He painted under the hood and all the door jams. If your door jams are ok as is, that will take a chunk off the price...less taping off, you know.

Freddy There in the right ball park around 3-5k depending on how much body work, chips, cracks, dents, things of that sort, Also if you are reshotting the jams. Things add up quick. And paint is getting expensive also.

No I didn't get my whole car painted, All I had painted was the front clip, and the LF door blended as well as the hood blended I was saying thats its close to 4k for a whole repaint, The paint code is gm 28-black saphire, It had a small amount of metalic flake in it too.

Your best bet is become friends with someone that knows how to paint/ do body work, I am 1 semster away from having my Auto Body Repair degree. With pretty good materials (PPG) its about 11-1200 bucks. Body shops make TONS of money off of labor for repaints.

Oh p.s I am pretty sure its about 10k for a procharger/s.c/turbo setup that is everything being done correctly. With all of the supporting parts.

lol that is what i thought, well my dads best friend who was a profesional painter, he painted big name peoples cars back in the day, he has a 71 z28 completly original car is so nice, well hes out of painting now but he paited his car he rented a stall and did it himself, dad told me to ask him but he said he doesnt think hell do it, if he does id just have to buy the paint and a case of beer

so i was just not putting all my eggs in one basket incase he said naww which is a good possibility, its alot of work
