  • FRC'S for v6's?

Does anyone make or has anyone fabricated/converted fuel rail covers for the 3.8?

Haven't seen any myself. May be a great opportunity for someone with a plastic molding machine to make some money. Carbon Fiber fuel rail covers would be cool too.

I would look in to other cars that had the same motor, find one that had FRC and modify those. That's what I did here with mine (latest post):

I used the corvette FRC as a starting point and cut and modified it until it fit.

no there is not any that fit your car as it sits. If you get some holden intakes then holden has a engine cover. But no the grand prix ones will not work with the fbody engine due to the way the engine is laid out.

Fiero's had a 60 degree 2.8 V6 and did not have any covers. What you see is the actual intake that was painted from the factory. It seems like there was some FWD car that had covers but I can't think of what it was off the top of my head.

yes that is out of a grand prix, and to reinstate what I said earlier, they do not work in the fbody cars.

How hard would it be to make a set of lt1 or ls1 covers fit?

Edit: Wonder how hard it would be to cut this in half, eliminate the center, and make this fit?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/88-Bu...spagenameZWD1V

It'd probably be pretty easy to mod, making it stay put might be another story.

Didnt think about newer cars, I should go check my moms impala...

Im really looking more for fuel rail covers though, like lt1 or ls1 style. Not a complete engine cover.

only if you make your own Spencer, don't waste your time looking cuz it is just going to turn up nothing.

What are you trying to hide with our engine anyways? Doesn't look ugly at all. Take some sand paper to the 3800 series two letters and it polishes up nicely.
