So I got this nifty billet grille for my 86 from a buddy of mine. Well all is good and dandy put I am not sure how to mount it. It has no brackets or anything to screw into the grille on my car. Any ideas? Here is a pic of the grille

i dont know about this because you might not like it... but with a cut billet grill like that this is what i did for my buddys f-150 we acctualyl dremilled the center out of the plastic grill pretty much so you couldnt see it anymore just the small part of the outer frame... then we used high strenght plastic/metal apoxy... but its a one time deal once you do it there is no going back... but it holds up well wont budge or get knock off that way... but he had an extra grill i would say cruise the junkyards and find a beaten up one for cheep and try that... then you just mount it like a normal grill would..Originally posted by Frank The TankComment

Use some 3M or equivalent 2-sided tape, like what is used in body shops for reattaching body side moldings, and put adhesion promoter on both mounting surfaces, then stick the tape on the grille, and mount it. It shouldn't move, plus it will be easier to take off than epoxy if you ever decide to do something else.Nick H.

ya but what im saying is he will have to cut the whole center out of his grill to make this look right and mounted firm... so even if he doesnt think it looks right...lol it wont matter but unless you want to weld up a frame for it with mounting brackets thats the only way to go... that was the instructions for his grill...Originally posted by Frank The TankComment

hmm i dont know how it mounts in but why not make some just get some thing gauge steel wrap it around the grillwhere the mount holes are put a whole through bolth sides... pretty much clamp it in place...Originally posted by Frank The TankComment
