I don't know if it's been mentioned on here or not, but I've been wondering if having smoked tail lights are illegal in kentucky? I've read from other places saying they are and others that say they're not, so if anyone knows anything that'd be great! thanks

    Check your local laws.

It's more of an issue with how far away the brake lights are visible.

I am not sure. Local laws are different everywhere. But like every law here in MI there are not so clear cut, just like underbody neons. Everybody you talk to has there own version of the story. So the best thing to do is ask a friendly cop if you know one. Also, you could buy tailight covers which would allow you to remove them for inspection should you be ticketed. Also as I understand, as long as the DOT emblem is legible on the tailight you are good! Good luck!
