  • Dash on a 95 T/A

How do you remove the dash on a 95 T/A. Do I need a special tool?

    Thanks.

Just a wrench and screw driver. Where are you getting stuck at? I removed my entire dash from my 94 Camaro, not much different than the TA.

I have to replace the large plastic peice on the top. I haven't started yet. But wanted to know if there is a special tool. Can I just take off the top or do I have to remove the front dash to take off the top. I just don't want to brake anything trying to remove it.

      Thanks.

Ah, the dash pad.. that one's fun. Do you need a new one? I think I have a TA dash pad, but I don't know what year... just know it's for a 4th gen.

You'll have to remove both of your A-pillars and then the dash pad has a bunch of velcro tabs that stick it in place. The a-pillars have two screws [atleast the t-top versions do] that hold it in place right at the top of the a-pillars, and then there's 3 or 4 metal tabs that clip the plastic a-pillar into the actual structural metal a-pillar.

          Wow, that's it.
Yeah. mine is cracked. I found one on craigs list for 30 bucks and gray, my color. I just have to remove it from the other car and didn't want to brake anything on his car.

Sounds good, I was going to try to get a little more than that for mine since they go for $150-$200 on ebay.

A little easier then I thought.

                Everything is clips.
Pull the top of the A piller cover that is over the door outwards to un clip it. The pull up on the A piller cover to un clip the bottom near the dash pad.
                Have to do both sides.

Then just pull up on the dash pad in the from by the vents to un clip it. Then just pull the dash pad out.

                Not to painfull.

Aha, so I definitely have a 93-96 TA dash pad -- the one that I have looks identical to that by the vent. The Camaro is more rounded of an edge.

It was like that when I bought the car. The previous owner said the shop that did some work on the car did it but they would not pay for it!!!
                        Yeah right

So now I'm replaceing it as it doesn't look to good.
