When I bought my stb, I was going to do the car in red accents, change of plans, were going black. What process do I need to do to paint it black?

Is it painted now or powder coated? Might be a bit difficult to paint over powder. I don't know how well paint sticks to it. If it's paint, just sand it down with 600 or 800 grit then spray it black. Black will cover better over the red without needing a coat of primer. If it's powder coated I'd sand it down probably to metal then prime and paint.
