To pull or not to pull

Well after the nice lil rain we got here in saginaw

I was looking around the car and noticed my roof stripes..are stained really bad and I dont like it..

My roof stripes are completely diff. from my hood/rear ETC stripes..came from a diff guy.

Now I think I had the roof stripes back in Summer of 05'...

So come spring I might just pull them off..but how bad would the paint be faded..and do you think its a good idea? I dont wanna like rip the clear coat off or anything..but jesus these stripes look crappy..ill get some pics 2morrow but wont be able to upload in a couple days

(lost my USB cord to the computer and have to use my parents Card reader to upload the pics)

If I pull them off..I wont have any money anytime soon (yet) to buy replacements

Pull 'em...nobody likes faded vinyls. If the clear peels oh well put new stripes on.

Pull them, and if the paint pulls up, either repaint or revinyl.

You could always tape off the stripes and repaint the vinyl.

if you take your time with a heat gun and the paint was decent prior to laying won the stripes you should be fine

Tstone has the right idea, heat gun hair dryer loosens up vinyl, just go real slow and heat em up good. Good luck

Yup, then the only thing you might have to do it wheel out your car after the stripes are off.
And we can do that pretty easy.

You should Pull'em or cover them in Duct Tape so they look new again.

LOL Gary. Sure thing. I'll hook you up cleaning it, and wheeling out the whole car. Yours might not be all that bad, but when I had my white Grand am. I have vinyls on that. And is was pretty bad when I took them off.
A nice wheel job did wonders!

Ok I took some pics but the angle and sunlight and whatnot..you can kinda tell the stained spots..but its actually alot worse in person

VINYL IS FOR YOUR WALLS!!! , take em off and get them painted on, you will be MUCH happier in the long run
