  • Happy and un Happy...

Well... I ripped the rear interior completely out of my car today thanks to some brand new... Pretty much god like... torx bits... Ah master craft... They make some damn fine torx bits. But anywho I'm pretty happy/ slightly depressed. I was expecting a massive amount of rust... Which in the whole well area there is absolutely none. I mean it looks awsome the black paint is amazing looking...How ever on the passenger side wheel well its a little worse then expected and ill need to replace a good amount of the wheel well and the all of the quarter... But. All i need is a good quarter panel and then the rest i will hand build. So... Pretty good but kinda sucks.

Pic one: Rear quarter.. Sorry for weird angle but theres an engine sitting there that i cant get around so its upside down.
Pic Two: Passenger side rot right at the bottom of the quarter
    Pic Three: Bottom of well.
Pic four: Whole on drivers side
    Pic Five: Nice black paint.
Pic Six: Top of passenger wheel well.
    Pic Seven: passenger rot again.

        PICTURES!

        Rust sucks.

I got rust poking through on the lower front of both of my rear wheel wells, and I can see some holes in the engine compartment... I've painted over (using Krylon Rust-Eliminator paint that, crazyily enough, matches my paint near exactly) the rust after grinding/sanding it down.

Is there a harbor freight around? I might have to order one... I don't want to use a dremel for it because i afraid it wouldn't be able to hold up to it. I would have to use a way smaller wire wheel but then that would take ages.

How well would those work for doing the majority of under body?... You say there highly recommended... Would they be recommended for rust removal on the underside if you have a decent amount down there.

Yeah, I don't know if you'd want to use a Dremel for heavy action like that...for small hard to get at areas, it's good.

harborfreight.com is a good site...they also have a store over on Telegraph and 59...lethal, lethal store...be careful...
