Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Problem: These are new seals. I installed them during the summer.

have tried cleaning and lubing the weatherstrips? what about adjustments?
That, I have not. The weather has been so crappy lately that I wasn't prepared when the rain hit. The adjustments, I never knew how to do. The instructions that came with the weatherstripping stated what the correct measurements would be - but not how to adjust the tops' positions.
I know when I was pulling 100 down the freeway, my friend said the whistling we heard was mainly from the t-tops.
Also, my windows could probably use an adjustment as well. My passenger window doesn't always go up all the way with the door shut, and the problem with the driver-side windo is that when you close the door with the window up (or roll the window down, then up, with the door shut), usually the seal on the a-pillar doesn't go over the window, so you have to push the area of the window near the a-pillar, and then the stripping pops out.
It rained like a mother****er inside when some dickweed ran through the deep-ass puddle with his Commander while I was attemping to go around it, spraying water ALL over my car. I think I saw it rain from every spot I knew, and possibly more. Luckily, my friend knew the guy, he talked to him at Taco Bell, and he said the guy felt bad, he didn't know my car leaked like that. Still a jackass move, but it saved me from a situation that certainly would've occurred had I put those packets of delicious Hot sauce under his wiperblades...
The main areas of drippage/leakage are as follows. I don't know the exact location of most, though.
Normally, regular rain will leak into my back seats, and sometimes onto my console from the roof console when turning (water will leak from the back as well). When it rains harder, sometimes water will be on the console without turning - and in the back seat. When it rains REALLY hard (like last night) my seat gets wet (nice to find out once I sat in it, eh?).
Funny thing: when I go to one of those DIY car washes, and use the full-strength power-washer on the t-tops, NOTHING happens...
I need help one day to fix this all.
Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
Yes sir, I did. I pretty much followed the directions exactly. Only thing I didn't do was put "body molding sealant" or whatever the hell it was called there. But I pretty much filled those areas WITH adhesive - and then later with silicone.
It leaked a bit worse when I got the car, before I changed the weatherstripping.

Well then, that sucks....don't know what to tell you.
Yeah, I think a big culprit is the fact that those metal pieces that go on the outside of the t-bar, if you know what I'm talking about - the things that rust really easily. So, the weatherstripping isn't held down at all on the outside (well, the part that's open with the tops off).
Since it's night out, I'm not going outside to take photos.
This circled area is where I'm talking about (where the things are).
