  • Rust around Strut Tower

Didn't know really where to put this thread.
My drivers side wheel well is a little rusty. The strut tower itself is good. Unfortunatley it is rusting around the strut tower.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
I really would like a quick fix right now since my money is being spent elseware on the camaro. Or do I have to go all out and get the wheel well redone?

        That ain't good...

Being a structural piece, I'd get that whole thing replaced...

my thoughts exactly. Not sure how to go about fixing that though.
Buy a nice one from a junk yard and cut and re-weld?
And undercoat the snot out of it?

Thats a hard place to really get into (360 degrees)

That's what I seen your bro in law doing on a van when I took it in the bird for some work. Cut it out then wielded a new 1 in.

Hmm...I think I should spray my area with some rust-inhibitave paint that happens to match my bright red paint almost exactly... I don't want that to happen.

                That's crazy.

if theres enough metal left you might get someone to surface it down and patch in a spot panel in the short run for strength
