  • Can i put t-tops in my 1994 hard top camaro?

I have a 1994 camaro and i do not want hard top,but got a deal on the car,i put money into it already fixing it up and don't want to just sell it and get one with t-tops,so i was wondering if anyone knows how and where and for how much i can put t-tops on my 1994 camaro? Please be accurate with your information i had different people giving me different opinions, based solely on that, their opinions,if you can really point me in a direction to get it done, and keep in mind i dont have money to blow please let me know.

my friend jon did it (phenomic on here). its very doable, but takes some balls and a good chunk of cash for the parts necessary. you have to take a circular saw to you roof pretty much.

      um..

You just have to keep your eye open for t-top conversion..the entire SET, tops, keys, EVERYTHING. Usually sets from what I seen run a good $300+

      I would search Ebay,Craigslist, and different fbody forums..like fullthrottlev6.com, ls1tech,

Once you have everything, now comes the part weather you do it yourself (have to be very careful and have steady hands and precise cutting)..or find someone to do it for you.. from what I can remember there are a couple guys in this country that could travel to your place if paid correctly.

These will give you the general idea

      http://www.cardomain.com/ride/514505/4

From the guys page this is what he got and price wise..of course it will all vary on how good of a deal you get if you do plan to do a conversion

      -Passenger Side t-top on ebay $75 + $17.10 shipping = $92.10
-Driver Side t-top on ebay $125 + Free shipping(guy had more then one set and offered it to me for $125 and free shipping since the one I was bidding on I lost)
-Re-keying of t-tops(I did it myself, just pulled the cam lock out and pulled out the pins myself, I removed 2 out of the 4 pins so my door key would work.
      -Center trim piece $12.99 + $10.95 shipping = $23.94
      -Rear interior trim pieces(cover rear t-top receivers) $9.50 + $5.20 shipping = $14.79
      -T-top recievers and T-top holders = $30 shipped
      -A-pillar pieces and T-top weatherstripping = $50 shipped

I hope all of this helped you

I can't say on your 1994 but we did it to a buddys 1989 Camaro in high school and it turned out great. The overall job wasn't hard, you just have to be dedicated because once you cut your roof out there is no going back. He paid just $175 for parts and then custom made a headliner to match his interior.

Same here. I would LOVE to have my T-Tops back, but I'm not going to have to worry constantly about heavy rain like I did in the Camaro.

Like someone said earlier. You can do anything you want as long as you have the balls and the money. I have seen this done several times. However, it is risky if not done correctly. Here are some more links...

That plus you know you would hate to have to chop the top off that formy, especially considering the low build numbers with that option.

Yeah, if you keep the seals clean you'll never have a problem. It's all the people who lets the seals get covered in $#!t that leak. Mine leaked for all of a day until I cleaned the seals and they've been fine for 4 months now.
