  • I think i am going to paint the rims!

So i have had a few ideas shot at me and the one i like the best is this

in the 35th anniversary TA's the rims were a powercoated trasparent blue. Thats exactly what i want to do to my rims, except a red color. That is my goal. NOW TO FIND SOMEONE THAT CAN DO IT? anyone?

yeah... i would say if you can make your rims "red" to the same degree as my parents rims are "blue" (like the way it looks...not to shiney not too flat...with some chrome peeking through) that would look sweet!

Sorry I don't remember his name since this was a while ago, I tried searching over there with no luck. I'll be on the lookout though and let you know if I hear anything.

I said I have a spraygun, all you need is to buy the tinted clear. We could get together and finish them in a weekend! You have an air compressor, right?

Well, you should look at a paint store, they can custom mix it for you. You will need a high capacity air compressor, and it will have to happen when I come out there for the meet and greet or something. I just live too far away to come all the way out there by myself. That and Dad is really paranoid about meeting people I know from the internet. Let me know what you come up with! I'd be glad to help. It shouldn't take more than a day or two to do all of the work. I have never done this kind of painting before, so I can't guarantee results or anything, but I don't think it requires any special painting techniques, it should all have to do with the prep and materials (clear and tint). I will see what my dad says about it. Do you have any spare wheels, or are these your only set?

Ok sounds good. Maybe i could even come up there. IF your parents aren't to paranoid. I'm no pedophile like brian. heh heh. This compressor my buddy uses it for a nail gun. I don't know if it's "high capacity" how could i tell? I have one bent lumina rim we could test it out on. So your saying i could go to home depot and have them mix something or like a car paint shop? I will do some more research to see if there are any things you should do or not do. Thnaks man
