  • Anyone ordered a hood from these guys?

    http://www.youngsfbody.com/inc/sdetail/14928

I'm looking at possibly getting that hood before spring, but has anyone ever ordered anything from them? I can't seem to find it from any other supplier, and have never heard of these guys before. Otherwise does anyone know another place to order a hood like that from?

    Thanks,
    Nick

I've ordered from them before. Not a hood but some other bits and pieces for my Camaro and they were decent to deal with. I didn't have any problems.

98+ fenders fit on a 93-97, but you'll have to change the hood and headlights. They do bolt up, though.

And nada, el capitan, never heard or bought from them myself.

Nope. The headlights are entirely different than the LT1, so it won't match up correctly.

You can *barely* tell the difference between these two ebay auctions. The 93-97 has a straight edge where it meets the bumper, the 98+ has a half-circle edge where it actually meets the headlight.

I have never bought a hood from that site, but for the price there had better be a garuntee of some kind. You can buy a suncoast or harwood hood for that price or even a used SS hood.

Thanks for the responses guys. I had done some more looking around, and I really like the ultra-z hood from SLP but I've heard of laminating problems with them. Then I heard that VFN Fiberglass is making one just like it and everyone seems to like their products so that's what I'm planning on going with now. Thanks again guys.

That's what I've heard, and that's what I'm planning on, just not sure if it's going to happen this year or not. I hope so, I'll keep you guys updated.

Check to see if our sponsor -- MCHP -- has the hood, too, might be able to get it cheaper and/or save on shipping since they're more local.
