My paint chip is getting bigger :(

Now i need a little help guys. attachted is a picture of my car and as you can see there is a paint chip and you can see the fiberglass. Well since then i have gone thru some car washes and it's gotten HELLA big. Does anyone on here do a "GOOD PAINT JOB' I don't want to repaint the WHOLE fender but just patch up that one spot. I'm afraid to do it and look nasty. maybe i'll just go over messians house and he'll paint it red for me ha ha. let me know guys.....i need to fix this before it gets any bigger!

If you have access to a air compressor and a blow gun, you could probably blow all of that paint right off of that fender. My Dad, who is a painter, says that that is from poor adhesion, and the whole fender will need to be stripped and repainted. I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but it is probably what you will end up having to do.

Damn man. Oh well. i have a buddy at a body shop so i'll see if he can hook me up. But definitily if you guys find a dude quickly let me KNOW. cuz i need to get this taken care of.

if i had a picture of the big chip on my car i would show you but its alot bigger than that, but not in a place as noticable as that

I know of a paint shop around here, they don't paint cars, but they have really cool computers that precisely match the paint color on your car so you don't have to blend to other body panels. I am going to have them match the paint on my car, and I think you should find a place that will do the same for you. That way you won't have to blend the hood and door to the fender when you get around to having it painted. If you go with a shop, they will charge you extra for that.

Thanks guys for the tips...When i took that pic it was pretty small.now it's like TWO of my hands. tear. I was at the carwash and there was thieis hobo working there and he has a high spray gun and i was watching him, he looked right at it and SHOT it and a paint chip flew RIGHT ON MY WINSHIELD!! i was like WTF?!?!?!? being a nice guy i didn't even say anything. i just help it in. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Yeah that would be nice. Last time my gf dad went to a automatic car wash they ripped the spoiler off his corvette! Ouch! They didn't pay him a dime for it. There is a disclaimer on the building in size 2 font that says they are not to be held liable for damages. Ass Clowns!

that is why I never go to automatic car washes.

My dad does own a self serve car wash, so that doesn't hurt either being able to get free washes, lol

hell yah man them car washes suck, my car has only seen one of them twice sense i have owned it. i just dont like 15 year old kids drying off my car with dirty towles

I know. Last time i went to this three dollar car wash (big mistake) and they guys with the towls didn't even dry the last half of the car. I was ssooo pissed. Then the beads froze cuz it was so cold out. Tear. We don't have a "do it yourself one around here" and it's been way to cold lateley for me to wash it. but my car looks so pretty washed!!!
