The guy was here early and I got to ask him some questions about the hood. He says that these hoods were made locally in a Westland, MI plant by the original supplier for GM. It is fiberglass. Looks like it is in good shape, and just needs a little work. I thought the OEM WS6 hoods were metal. But he says he sold quite a few of these and has had great feedback from past buyers. I think it is functional Ram Air, but I can't tell for sure. Anybody have a pic of the inside of one of these hoods? It does open up in the back, and from what I can see it opens up just a slit at the bottom of the inside. Any ideas? Anyhow, the guy was awesome. He drove it to me, with a broken leg in the bitter cold. I kind of felt bad for the guy. He told me that he usually sells these hoods between $500-1000 on ebay and was surprised at me winning it for only $240. Either way, he said that the only problems he has ever had with these was UPS driving a forklift through one. But should I have any problems I have his phone # and he will take it back. I'll post some close up pics when I can.

What do you all think?

Anybody know where I can buy the hood grill inserts or a good place to buy material to make my own?

P.S. Have any of you noticed this is a crazy good time to buy car stuff? LS1 T/A's selling for $5K, WS6 hoods selling for $250, Turbo Kits selling for $1000, and everything else is selling cheap too! I am excited. I need more $$$.

you just answered your own question, if all of us had more money we'd pay higher prices, but we dont so people keep lowering em! lol
