  • Engine Bay Update...

Getting closer to being done. Just gonna let it dry for a while and then wetsand, do another coat, wet sand, and lay the base coat. Not sure if I'm going to clear or not, right now I think I'm not going to lay clear ontop of it because I think itd look weird having a clear coated enginebay.

Sanded/Filled all the holes and rust spots...

I actually made a HUGE mistake on not taping off the two "pegs" for my strut on the driver side, the passenger side is taped off so it'll still be black, but now I realized my driver's side is untaped and grey... I'm going to be going through and having all the nuts and bolts visible from the top replaced and/or painted black for more accents..

I found some "Before the Putty" pictures, so here's what it looked like before I did all the bondo and puttying and sanding and stuff so you can get a real good idea of what a huge improvement this is:

just put the nuts back on and then take them off and then put them back on and just keep doing it untill the paint is gone and take some 1000 grit paper and sand the primer off of the top.

oh do you know if them bolts are like a speacial bolt or can i find them at any 'ol hardware store? because mine are all rusty

the nuts for the struts are a standard 15mm nut as far as I can tell..

just wet sand it down to blend it. most of the edges are in weird areas that aren't that obvious.
