How difficult is it to install a new windsheild?

This isn't for a Camaro but I need to replace my 95 Avenger windsheild (alot smaller than a camaro but still a decent size windsheild)

I've always heard some companies advertise "free windshield repairs" How bad is the damage?

My hood flew open on the highway and completely smashed the hell out of the windsheild...

It's far beyond repair, I need to replace the entire glass, hood, and the roof is messed up too

Really not that hard. Just takes 2 ppl. I'd leave it to someone that knows how to do it though. I helped the guy put the new windshield in my old bird cuse his helper wasn't there.

I assume napa or murray's sells the adhesive?

          Remove old glass
          clean/clear old adhesive
          lay down new adhesive
          place windsheild
          replace moldings

does that sum it up pretty good or am i missing something?

This could be a major problem.

If you've messed up the seal area crosscar between the a-pillars, you may never be dry again.

This has happened before and it doesn't leak at all.

Hopefully it will hold up again!

I'm definetely picking up a set of hood pins and a new latch! lol

thanks for the offer...but yea I can't drive it anywhere in it's current state...

I'm going to the junkyard tomorrow to try and find a good windsheild and see if I can find a shop to install that one to save money.

The problem is it's an 95 Avenger and it's not that popular of a car in my area at least

for the windsheild or a hood?

                              new windsheild installed= 200
                              hood = 130

I thought hoods were alot cheaper than that, escpecially at a junkyard
