  • A few mod suggestions...

Since my Trans Am is my daily driver like 9 months a year at the moment I'm starting my mods in the cosmetic department. I'd like to do a Ram Air hood and some C6 rims but those are after I finish this last year of school and get a real job.

I already ordered some custom floor mats with the phoenix and say Trans Am but I'm looking for a few mods for the outside. I was thinking either clear corners or smoked corners. When I say smoked I mean the spray on stuff, not covers..... They'd be like the ones on my girlfriends Camaro. For those who don't know they aren't blacked out, more like a maroon and dark orange.

Was also thinking the CETA rear bumper mod but I have yet to see it done on a black Trans Am. For those who don't know it's when you take that lower valance (or whatever you call it) and paint it a glossy charcoal. Here it is on the 2002 CETA.

The last thing I was thinking about doing was totally blacking out the center tail light peice. The "Trans Am" and bird are really faded and instead of trying to repaint them or put a sticker I was thinking just painting the panel black

Instead of painting the center tail light panel black, just wet sand the panel smooth and polish it. That is what I did.

Before: (You can lightly see the Bird and Text if you expand the picture full size)

After: (It would look even better with Honeycombs. I know cause i tryed it before i had to send the lights back do to damage in shipping.)

please just get stickers to put between the taillights, i did and they still look great after 1.5 years, ive never liked it when people remove that part, just looks so plain and cheap in that area otherwise...

Get the decal for the filler panel. I think painting the rear charcoal would just be a waste of time, deff get a ram air hood and get clear corners. Just my $.02

Like I said guys, I'd love to do the WS6 hood and C6 rims but $$$ is an issue at the moment since I'm paying most of my college and all of my rent right now. I'm done in 9 months from now so I'll do the high $$ stuff then. I'm really thinking Clear corners. I'm having a hell of a time finding both fronts and rears though. It's a PITA to find the rears! I'd love to get the Trans Am and bird for the rear panel but my problem has been finding one just for that. I don't want to order one and its to big or so small, you know? I might just sand it like Dave said then then put my own on there but Silver
