That it is - absolutely hopping out there yesterday. I'm glad Ducati ended up being open for parking because it would have been a bit of a ***** to get over to CVS - doing a turnaround and coming back southbound really would not have been an option, as it was gridlock basically to Maple, it seemed.




Seeing one Diablo is extremely rare...seeing two of them in a row is damn near a miracle. The yellow one was even an SV.

Was definitely crowded. Couldn?t easily get over to Ducati. Square Lake was packed too. 40-50 Buick GN?s up there.

We were across the street tonight at CVS. We'll be up at Square Lake tomorrow and Saturday.

What time will you be by staples on Saturday?

I think Craig ( 9T8W66 ) will be there at like 5 or 6AM, and meissen said he'd be there at 7AM. I don't expect to be there until probably 5PM.

We got kicked out by the cops at 10:30 tonight, likely due to all of the shenanigans/asshattery that was last year's Kingswood Plaza experience that had practically half of the police in Metro Detroit there shutting the show down, so that's a thing now. Until last year, I had never gotten kicked out by police there. They'd cruise through (there wouldn't be too many of us left), tell us the Cruise is over and to have a good night, and that was it. Very different message this time, but I honestly don't blame them.

That said, I'm home at a time that allows me to reassemble the rest of the steering column in the Camaro, so...maybe I'll be able to take it tomorrow, which I wasn't expecting.

Another Dream Cruise in the books! It was...pretty damn hot for the majority of the day, that's for sure, but overall plenty enjoyable...except for the extremely unforecasted heavy rain I encountered on the drive home.

Especially since I was able to take the Camaro today (the Cobalt served me well Tuesday-Friday). I reconnected the battery this morning and started it up to see how well everything worked, and afterwards just decided I'd take it, since it was "good" to go. The extra amount of sketch from the steering "pop" was gone, so it was just the usual amount of sketchiness due to lack of alignment and steering box slop.






And somebody was very worn out from all the fun they had today (at my mom's house, then out up at Square Lake for a bit):

Now, it seems, that 99% of the people will put their cars away till spring. Don?t understand this.

I have never once understood that.

Yeah, last week was a long week, but it was still a lot of fun - and by no means am I done driving my cars! But some people...that's it. So lame.

I got to Woodward around 9am. Later than I was hoping to, but I still was able to cruise all the way up to Square Lake and back without much traffic (I turned around by the plaza there around 9:20, dunno if you guys saw me or not. I was looking but didn't see anyone I recognized). Gearhead Homes had a customer appreciation event closer to 11 Mile, right across from Vinsetta Garage, so I parked there. Walked from there down to 11 Mile, then from there made my way all the way up to 14 Mile and back. Probably walked about 7 miles or so total. I was by myself the whole time, so after sitting at the event and watching the cars and getting something to eat and drink, I actually left at around 5:00. Cruised down to Ferndale, and I couldn't easily find a place to park, so I just went home.

Gotta say, having an "in" at one of the private events for once made life so much easier, it was great to not have to worry about getting there and not finding parking.

It's even more convenient when your mom lives 5 blocks off Woodward. Free parking, until we go up to Square Lake.

Despite the fact Woodward will probably be empty, myself and my buddy with the yellow 1LE plan to be out there Friday night to enjoy the weather/our cars.

So, at least as of now, I will be there, likely with my Cobalt. And my buddy will be there with his yellow Ducati 1098 (instead of the yellow 1LE).
