Dyno Day?

I inquired with [MENTION=193]meissen[/MENTION] a day or two ago, and it sounds like Dr. Phil is trying to firm up the schedule so he can figure out dates that are available. Likely still that same August or September timeframe.

Depending on when I get the title to the Camaro, get tires and get the idle sorted out, I might hop on over to Jake's to get a baseline run in before dumping all the smog equipment, and throwing on long tubes and an actual dual exhaust. If anyone would like to join, they're more than welcome - it probably would lower the rate. Would be good if you want to do a nice A-B comparison like I am.

I'm definitely interested in getting a new number at Jake's....I had dynoed it two years ago at dyno day and got a completely stock baseline (only lid, !EGR, !AIR). I'll have LS6 intake, full exhaust, and tune on it in the next couple of weeks. Would like to see how the numbers have shifted. Next year the hope is cam and retune, and then I'd like to dyno it again.

That being said, I don't really want to spend $100 to find out. The $50 or whatever for dyno day is worth it to me. If it makes sense from a timing and cost perspective, I'd be all about joining in, Kyle.

$100 per hour for sure. Dyno days are $50 for two pulls.

I talked to Dr Phil over the weekend and he's firming up dates. Unfortunately we totally missed the date we were planning on and now they're in the "busy season" with races and schedules. It's looking like it's going to be late August or sometime in September.

I'm OK with that - honestly, mid to late September is fine with me - my personal schedule opens up, and avoids 95* temps.

I am looking for more consistency with the pulls I did at dyno day 2014...it was a nice non-humid 70 or 75* day.

My last dyno at Jakes was on a 70 degree day over a year ago, so late August or September would get me close to the same weather. I've done a few things since then, ATI balancer, valve springs, cutout, plugs/wires, but kind of downgraded my lid (98mm to a factory blackwing), so it'll be interesting to see if much changed. Because I went to PSI beehive valve springs over the Comp 987's that were in the motor, I'm also very curious to see if I experience any valve float.

It'd be pretty difficult to get through all the cars otherwise. He's usually pretty happy to offer advice or answer questions, but he knows how to keep on track with time, as well.
