  • D5GCC Gilmore Car Museum Outing

    Hey guys,

Detroit 5th Gen Camaro Club has organized an outing to the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickery Corners and have invited us to tag along.

The Gilmore Car Museum is located at 6865 W Hickory Rd, Hickory Corners, Michigan 49060 and has an awesome collection of antique cars.

Here's a map of their location:

The meet up is set to take place between 11am and 5pm. This should allow plenty of time for those of us driving from Metro Detroit so we don't have to get up at the buttcrack of dawn.

They've also negotiated a reduced rate of $10 per person for entry.

Can we make this the new version of "F-Bodies at the Barns?"

This is a great museum, and the back roads to the site make for scenic Pure Michigan travel, especially with the top down or the T-tops out. It would be a really nice drive to close out the 2015 summer season. I'm pretty sure that there's also a restaurant on a nearby lake that we could meet up for late lunch or early dinner after we leave the museum. Try not to miss this one!

Haha without us actually taking over their show, yes. My idea was instead of trying to set up a Fall trip to the Gilmore Car Museum like we've done in the past, we can hang out with Detroit 5th Gen and go.

Guys this is coming up fast! I'm unfortunately not going to be able to make it, though.

Gilmore Car Museum is a fantastic car museum. Missy and I would be very happy to attend. We should be able to make it as we will be getting back from our Tail of the Dragoon run in the Smoky Mts. But I am not sure we can make it just yet. She might want to spend a couple extra days traveling back.
