Any pics or links to pics?
The last year I was able to attend was a good balance of high end exotic cars, 3rd and 4th gens, and then random everything else. I liked the variety!Last edited by thisisthewayilive; April 19th, 2015, 08:59 PM.

It's hard to say for sure. There were over 1000 registered, probably over 1500 total.Originally posted by mcalus View PostWhat was the official number that attended?
I saw that video the other day, the guy did an awesome job. People have also been posting other pictures and videos in the Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1561462007440810/Originally posted by nascarnate326 View Post
Here's a statement from the club that kind of explains how things went down:Originally posted by FLY1NLO View PostDef was a good time, but huge bummer spending an entire day detailing and not knowing about the pending space issue. Didn't get to park in the main lot, even after it was half empty
The lot seemed "half-empty" because 1) a lot of people left after the exhaust competition (which rather irked a lot of us), and 2) we had committed to trying to make sure people who pre-registered and people who were with sponsors were able to have spots. And once the cops took over traffic, they made us tell people the lot was full and to move to other lots, even though we told them there were spots and people should be able to get in. We basically were at the mercy of what they said.On behalf of the MSU Racing Club, I would like to thank everyone who came out to the show.
We had an amazing turnout, but the unfortunate downside of a huge turnout was the massive influx of cars all at once. The size of the convoys created traffic back-ups all the way to the highway, so the police justifiably took over the traffic control for a while and we unfortunately lost some awesome cars in the mix.
We had such a great response to having Spartan Stadium serve as the backdrop for our event last year that we wanted to try to keep it there this year, but that limited our size tremendously as it turns out. When we reserved the lot we were expecting about 1000 cars (following about 800 last year), but we ended up having more than 1500 on campus. It is hard to cut through some of the bureaucratic tape that we would have needed to cut through to make a late lot switch as the number of attendees rose on the Facebook event.
We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we work out the bugs to put on the best show possible. We learn from each and every year, so rest assured that we will come back next year with something even better.
Check back over the next couple days for pictures of all the awesome cars and a list of the award winners.
Yes, the majority was imports, but far from 90%. We take pride in the diversity in this show. There were some sick hot rods, gorgeous 60s and 70s American muscle cars, high-end Exotics, a good number of modern American muscle cars, and yes a lot of imports. The crowd at this show is also a lot younger than most other big shows in the state, and the younger crowd tends to have imports. But the Euro and Asian Import classes only were around 35% of the registered cars, so not even close to 90%.Originally posted by nascarnate326 View PostOn Facebook it looked like 90% imports.
