Come on Gary and Jasen .......... three rooms available at the Red Lion Motor Lodge. This is my favorite Club activity all year.

Unfortunately, our weekend plans are suddenly up-in-the-air.

BreAnna has developed a pretty large lump on her back, right near the upper end of her steel rods. She spent most of yesterday at her doctors and the hospital. X-rays show nothing has changed or moved with the rods. Blood work shows no infection. She is not running a temp. It only hurts if you push on it. The doctors don't know what's going on.

They recommended rest with Motrin, and not to wear her back brace, to see if the swelling goes down. This morning, there is very little change. At least it's not getting any bigger.

If we have to see her surgeon, he's in Indianapolis. If we end up going there, and we can safely wait until at least Monday, we're still in for up north. But we may be heading south at any minute instead of north. It will be an hour by hour, possible last minute decision on which way life will turn for us today and tomorrow.

We're keeping her out of school, and have her resting (She's 7 yrs old). She seems to be feeling normal today and is playing with her Barbie's and watching TV.

Doug, Hopefully there is nothing wrong Bre. I was thinking things for her were finally starting to get better, with you guys all taking a vaction and all. She has had such a rough life already with all the doctors and doctor visits. She really don't need any more complications. Let us know if you need anything.

Thank-goodness it sounds like the really bad stuff has been ruled out! Strange though. Kids are very resiliant and bounce back fairly quick. We will all keep our fingers crossed for her.

OK, here's the latest update: We talked with her (local) doctor and he recommends we keep her out of her back brace, and continue the Motrin over the weekend. We'll call him back on Monday.

Aside from the lump on her back, Bre seems to be her regular self ???

He is going to call the surgeon down in Indy, just to see if he agrees, so we're still not completely out of the woods for the weekend trip, just yet.

So, unless there is an unexpected change in the plan from her surgeon, we'll have Teriana (Bre's mom) keep her home and watch Bre over the weekend. We'll check in several times on the phone, over the weekend, and go from there.

Thanks, guys! She's such a little trooper. The odd thng is she acts like there's nothing wrong, but if you saw this big lump on her back, you would know that something is not right.

But, we'll continue to let her rest, take the Motrin, and leave the brace off, and see where we are on Monday ...........

Thanks James. We're watching her pretty closely. We'll keep tabs on her over the phone all weekend.

Ray, you are right, the weather looks to be FANTASTIC this weekend, and the colors are supposed to be between 50-85% of their peak! As I've said many times, this is my favorite WMCC event all year!
