We've done 4 Long Hauls and two partials. It's quite the experience. Every "car guy" should do the HRPT at least once.

Don't really have anything suitable to do the Power Tour in (I don't think my Cobalt would be allowed? ), but maybe show up at the Detroit stop!

You can drive anything on power tour. I've seen several people from other countries fly in and drive rental cars on tour. I've seen others drive their DD's on tour because they wanted the comfort their hot rod didn't offer. It's a cool experience no matter what your driving.

I've done 4 Long Hauls and one half one. When I did it with me and one of my sons and split rooms with someone else we did the whole thing for about $1200. When the wife and I went and didn't split rooms it was about $1700. That's for all the gas, hotels, sight seeing, soveniers and LOTS of great food.
