  • WMCC meeting on Sunday in Grand Haven

Just a note to let everyone know the details of our Club meeting on Sunday.

For our Club meeting this Sunday (7-9-06) we will be attending the "13th Annual, Wheels of Grand Haven Car Show" in downtown Grand Haven. The show begins at 9am and awards are at 3pm. However, we will need to meet at 8am to be able to get a place to park, all together at the show. So, we will be meeting at the Ottawa County/City Hall Building parking lot which is located on Washington Ave, just on the south side of Central Park.

The weather forecast looks great, at this point, and Dennis & Ronnie have suggested we change the meeting time and place, from their home at 4pm, to Central Park, right near the car show, at Noon. This way, the day, and the meeting, will not drag on all day. Remember to bring your folding chairs so you'll have a place to sit in the Park.

    We'll see everyone on Sunday!
RIP Doug,You will always be remembered

Actually the parking lot Doug talkes about, is on Franklin, the " ONE WAY " street heading toward the waterfront. Between 5th and 4th.

It is one street South of Washington St, which is the main drag.

The Car Show is on Washington St. starting at the river and filling in up the street for four blocks.

The Central park is between 4th and 5th Streets. So I suggest we try to park more towards Third and Forth Streets, which fill in slower than the other blocks.

So if you arrive late, you still can park on Washington, or the side streets around the Central Park.

Hey Dennis, Thanks for clearing that up. It's nice to have someone from the area that knows those streets! See ya Sunday morning! Or maybe even on Saturday night at Gemmins, in Hudsonville?

Fantastic ! Ronnie and I got there at 7:45 am and parked in the middle of Main St. side by side. We were across the street from Tim and Marge Drooger, with thier two cars, the green first gen and red 4th gen.

great turn out, around 300 cars. Many neat, different cars you do nor see very offen.

Tim won one of the 20 "people choice" awards. We did not win anything today, but had a great time.

                Here are some pictures.

NIce pics, Dennis. We had a pretty nice turnout in Hudsonville tonight, too. Hopefully the storms in the forecast will hold off until Sunday evening.
