    hey gang!

I got a tune up a month or so ago on my 95 Z28, including new OEM plugs and wires. Since then, cold starts take too long for my taste, and the general responsiveness is less than it used to be.

I know that the plugs that were pulled out were not the 'right' ones, but I don't know what they were exactly. But the performance I was getting out of them was great. I did the tune-up in hopes of improving gas mileage. $4.00/gal for premium out here.

Has anyone experienced improved behavior/performance from other-than-OEM plugs? My mechanic suggested asking you guys.

    LT1.

    thanky! Brent

I use NGK Iridum plugs. I thought I would give them a try. Otherwise go with GM platinum plugs. NGK has a copper plug that alot of people use from fbody.com. They don't last as long however.

NGK TR55 Copper's here, love them.

Your mechanic suggested a Michigan Fbody site? Cool.

Thanks for the suggestions. I passed them to my mechanic.

He didn't actually know about this forum specifically. He is aware that I hang with Camaro enthusiasts, so he suggested asking those that are in the know.

I have to get the hang of searching the forum. I like the feature of "related threads"...there was already a bit of discussion about plugs going on, so that was also very helpful.

        Thanks again.

LS1Tech.com is a great reference if you can't find or get answers here.
