That would be correct. That car is Car #1976.....I sure hope he knew.

Yup, like Al said, that is correct.

I just talked with the guys at Berger today and talked about that car specifically. It was not totaled out by the insurance company, and was therefore repaired. They replaced the floor pan (maybe just the rear section, not sure), the transmission and related suspension parts. It was repaired by the dealership and was fixed correctly. Anything that was damaged was repaired or replaced. Anyway, that's what I was told, and I have no reason not to believe them.

It was sold at a substantial discounted price with full disclosure that it had been repaired. Whether or not that next guy passed this information along to the next owner is anyone's guess.

Hope he was told, that would be a very bad deal if not. I will see him in a couple of weeks. Will try to tactfully ask the question.

I still wonder why the wheels were changed out on HR 1976? I inspected the car at the seen of the accident and there was not anything wrong with them or the tires. Notice how the current wheels (First Photo) have a step in the outer lip unlike the other HR cars with the original Crager wheels that have a smooth outer lip (second photo).

The owner of the car is Mike Schell from Ocala, FL the car was purchased from Berger in the summer of 2005. Mike purchased it if I recall June or July 2005 and drove it back down to Orlando. I know when Mike purchased the car he was told that it had a minor incident on the Power Tour that it ran over a drive shaft and a dent was made on the underside of the car. He was told all repairs were done at Berger and it sounded like it was all minor stuff.

Looking at the car you cannot tell any damage that was done to it I am surprised this day in age nobody had photos of the accident or repair photos.

The wheels on the car were all pitted so he asked Berger if they would swap the wheels they had on another HRC with his as far as we know they were the OEM wheels from GMMG/Berger as they were on if I recall a black convertible or red convertible at Berger. He is listed as the 1st owner of the car as it was not titled until he purchased it.

Here are a few pics of it when it arrived down in Orlando from Berger.

I had taken several pictures of HRC 1976 when it was parked behind Berger when it had the under body damage. Did not look too bad. The center console was on an angle so the floor got tweeked a bit.
