  • Vehicle Storage in Grand Rapids Area?

Does anyone know of a place where I can store my camaro and work on it during the winter. All the places I have called are park it and leave it places. I can't really store my camaro like that because my steal fuel lines under the car are rusty and seaping. So if I store it in an inclosed area it smells like gas. I don't think any storage facility would like that at all. Something or other about a fire hazzard. But anyway is there a place anybody knows of that I can store my camaro at and work on it. Replace fuel lines, New exhaust, Ball joints, and new weatherstripping.

I don't know of any place that lets you work on them and store them. They're all just storage only. That's what you need your own garage/barn for!

You'd have to find a friend with a garage.

Thats kind of hard since I still live at home with my parents and we have 5 cars at our house and a 2 stall garage.

old days i used self storage bays - but they typically required some stealth conversions (mainly electrical for better lighting) that if management catches you can be a problem

I can't store it in our garage and work on it. Not enough room. There is a minivan in the garage too. Plus I have a fuel leak and if I put my car in the garage and shut the door ( which I have to at night) The whole garage and front entry way smell like gas. Needless to say my parents arn't fond of the gas smell. I wish the gas leak had started in the middle of summer because then I could have used the garage to fix it. Now since the weather is getting bad I can't.

Sounds like what you need is Darnell's Garage from Christine. I doubt anything like that has existed in the last 25 years, though, too much liability.
