October WMCC Club Meeting:
So, in spite of the summer like temps, we’re going to have the first of our Fall Color Tours on Sunday, October 7, when we hold our monthly Club meeting at the home of Amy K’s Mother, on Gun Lake. We will meet at 1pm for a Pot Luck style lunch followed by our Club meeting. (Please bring a dish to pass for the lunch) After the meeting we will tour the scenic roads around Gun Lake hoping for the first tinges of Fall Colors.
Here are directions: From the North or the South, you exit US131 at the Shelbyville exit (Exit # 59) (124th Ave.) and go East all the way to the Lake and turn Right (South) on Marsh Road. Follow Marsh Road for approximately one mile and turn left (North) onto England Drive. England Drive will turn into England Point and you’re looking for the white house on the hill, on the right side of the road. The address is: 4037 England Drive, Shelbyville, MI 49344, for those that want to MapQuest the directions.
Note: for those coming from the east side of Grand Rapids, you can also take the East Beltline south to Patterson Road. You go south on Patterson Road all the way to Gun Lake. Patterson turns into Marsh Road after you pass 124th Ave. Then just look for England Drive on your left. This should be an enjoyable day and a nice drive in the country.
